THE END @ 1610 AM
The IDEA
Create a unique radio station that is low cost and at the same time, very low maintenance that can and enevitably will reach more than 80,000 listeners EVERY DAY!
THE END @ 1610 AM - IS that new low power radio concept station - scheduled for a tentative launch in Winnipeg (St. James) in 2009.
How It Started
In my undying quest to be a radio station owner, I thought that it might be a clever idea to speak to morning commuters right where they ride to work. A studio at Route 90 and Ellice would reach a huge number of people for a short time while they pass by the station - and receive the signal for another 5 or 10 blocks.
It would have to be radio that is so good - and so compelling, that they would rush to the computer and log on to listen more to the station while at work. Great radio will keep 'em comin' back for more on the drive back home.
All this accomplished on a mere $2,500 dollar investment to get started.

Getting Rich Quick?
NO WAY, I have completely shattered my finances and presently eak out a very modest living as a nightclub DJ while I attempt to launch a new Community FM Radio Station in Selkirk. That website is www.bigfm.ca if you'd like to see what we're doing. Instead of waiting for something to happen, I thought this may be a faster way to re-gain my lost radio love. I'd like to earn at least $20 an hour one day!
Behind the Scenes
Even if I don't put much more into this concept, I feel like I've already accomplished something special. I will do my best to keep this site current. Hopefully, the next time you drive by Route 90 and Ellice, you'll look at the long brown brick building and wonder where we are in there!
More to come, stay TUNED!
